Quick Craft Idea: Glow Stick Lanterns

I seen this idea on Pinterest and decided to try it. I bought a package of glow sticks at Michael’s. ( you can try looking at the dollar store for them too) You just need to cut the top off and pour into a small mason jar. Close the top and shake it for about 30 seconds. The liquid should be coated all over the inside glass of the mason jar. When we did it the jar glowed using only 1 stick for about an hour. You can use more than one stick and also I have read that if you spray a little water in the jar it will glow longer.(I haven’t tried that yet) Kids love it especially during the summer when they can take them outside at night. GMO alert: top 10 genetically modified foods to avoid eating
The question of whether or not genetically modified foods (GMO's) are safe for human consumption is an ongoing debate that does not seem to see any resolution except in the arena of public opinion. Due to lack of labeling, Americans are still left at a loss as to whether or not what is on the table is genetically modified. This lack of information makes the avoiding and tracking of GM foods an exercise in futility. Below are just some of the food products popularly identified to be genetically modified:

Dangers of Methyl Iodide Fumigant for Strawberry Production
Methyl iodide is a nasty chemical. It is a known neurotoxin and endocrine disruptor, and scientists in labs handle only small amounts using special protective equipment because it is so toxic. But do you know where else it is used? As a pesticide on strawberries and other food crops. The battle against methyl iodide is being fought on several fronts.

Whole Foods Organic, Maybe Not!
I was sent this video this morning. If you shop at Whole Foods you may be disturbed by this video. It's probably not just Whole Foods that this is going on at but since Whole Foods whole company is based on organic food this is in my opinion ridiculous.
